PETALING JAYA: The Badminton Association of Malaysia (BAM) may not want Enterprise Sports Group (ESG) as their partners to bring in new sponsors but the Badminton World Federation (BWF) have tied up a deal with them.
The BWF announced yesterday that they had appointed ESG and Total Sports Asia (TSA) as the media and sponsorship agencies for their Super Series season from 2011 until 2013.
The BWF chief operating officer, Thomas Lund, said in a press statement yesterday: “The BWF are very pleased to have TSA and ESG as our partners moving forward to the next phase.
“We believe that the hosts of the Super Series, the BWF and this new partnership with TSA and ESG will not only secure a significant commercial income but will also significantly raise the bar in terms of quality and reach of the product.”
The Super Series is a 12-event circuit attracting the top 32 players in each of the five disciplines. The season ends with the Masters Finals featuring the top eight qualifiers in the respective events.
