Malaysia off to smashing start in World Juniors

PETALING JAYA: Malaysia got off to a good start in the mixed team event of the World Junior Championships when they scored a 5-0 win over Dominican Republic in Guadalajara, Mexico, on Friday.
Asian junior runner-up Loh Wei Sheng showed no signs of his groin injury when he took the first point by beating William Gabrera Jose 21-10, 21-9.
Wei Sheng had to go through light training for two days prior to the world meet due to the injury.
Malaysia will play Singapore next in their Group Z2. If they win, they will take on either India or Denmark in the quarter-finals.
