Hans Christian Møller passes away

Hans Christian Møller, journalist and recipient of the International Badminton Federation Meritorious Service Award, died on Monday 7 July 2009 at the age of 84.
A regular columnist with ‘World Badminton’, the IBF’s long standing publication, Møller was a source of information to badminton fans all over the world at a time when the internet was unheard of.
Møller, born in Denmark, began his life as a journalist in 1956 and worked for most of his career with Ritzaus Bureau, and went on to hold the position of the Danish Badminton Federation Press Officer.
Together with Preben Soborg’s photographs, Møller’s articles were widely read and followed by badminton fans around the world.
Møller received the IBF Meritorious Service Award in 1990 from Kirsten Larsen, then Chair of Professional Players Association (photo).
The badminton community mourns the loss of a great friend.
