Lin Dan wins third straight badminton crown

HYDERABAD, India (AP): China's Lin Dan has won the men's singles title at the badminton World Championships, becoming the first player to win three straight world crowns.
Lin beat his compatriot Chen Jin 21-18, 21-16 in 45 minutes to claim the title and add to the 2008 Olympic crown he won in Beijing.
Lin took a grip on the first game by reeling off five straight points to move the score to 11-6, and in the second he broke away after the scores were locked at 14-14.
