Chong Wei not making a fuss despite having to stay in hot and stuffy hotel room

THE temperature soared and Lee Chong Wei was literally
dripping with sweat in his hotel room.
A faulty air-conditioning system in the hotel has made the stay of the Malaysian team rather uncomfortable.
In fact, team manager David Wee was on the verge of moving the team to another hotel but a cool-headed Chong Wei chose to stay on.
David said that the hotel management had given an assurance that they would look into the matter today.
“We arrived here on Friday and many rooms were affected and Chong Wei was in one of them. They brought in several fans to keep the air flowing in the room,” he said.
“It would not have been a big deal if the weather was cool outside but for the last two days, the temperature here has been quite high (29°C). Players need a good sleep and it is important that they are comfortable. Chong Wei did not make a big fuss of it and all of us are making the best out of the situation.”
Other than that, David said that they were happy with all the arrangements made for them as far as training and transportation were concerned.
”We have trained at the venue (Pierre de Coubertin Stadium) (pic) once. Every team is given one hour and 15 minutes to get a feel of the stadium. The coaches were happy with the commitment shown by the players,” he said.
