Absent Misbun the hot topic among coaches

COACH Misbun Sidek’s absence is one of the hot topics for discussion among the foreign coaches at the Malaysia Open.
And Japan’s coach Park Joo-bong and Indonesia’s singles coach Agus Dwi Santoso hope that issues involving Misbun would be solved amicably.
Misbun tendered his resignation as national coach on Dec 31 but the Badminton Association of Malaysia (BAM) have asked him to reconsider his decision.
Joo-bong, who has had a stint with the Malaysian national team, said: “I know Misbun is crazy about badminton and his heart is into this sport.
“He has done well with Lee Chong Wei. Hopefully, he will come back.”
Agus said: “He must have had a good reason for quitting. Hopefully, there will be a positive outcome.”
The BAM president, Datuk Seri Nadzmi Mohd Salleh, returns from Monte Carlo today and is expected to meet Misbun before their council meeting on Sunday.
