BAM set to receive tremendous financial boost

PETALING JAYA: The Badminton Association of Malaysia (BAM) are set to receive a tremendous financial boost after it was revealed that Maybank will come in as major sponsors.
The BAM general manager, Kenny Goh, said that they were looking for an appropriate date to announce the deal with Maybank.
“With this new partnership, we are looking forward to exciting times with more development programmes in the pipeline in both the national and state levels,” he said.
The money from the Maybank sponsorship will make a lot of difference to the BAM, especially in state programmes, as it will possibly double or triple state budgets for development purposes.
The BAM may also get to look at organising more tournaments in order to bring state-level badminton up to grade and also to get more schools involved.
